NEXT This is the space where we will post upcoming events, FUNdraisers and any information pertaining to the theatre company. As Events Happen we will Mark Through them on our List. NEW!!! UZU Crew Auditions Saturday September 6, 2008 This Ensemble Company will be the backbone of UTC. They
will be the actors, singers, dancers, designers, techs, directors, producers,
writers, playwrights, activists, stagehands, creators, innovators, developers,
and everyone not mentioned that will be the essence of Uzupis Theatre Company –
UTC. We will hold auditions at our temporary rehearsal space at
810 N. Chase St, which is in the old green church on the corner of Chase and
Boulevard in the Boulevard District in Athens, GA. This is not a formal audition. We will not be having people doing a monologue in order to
get in. This is about PASSION! We want people to show up with a creative flair for
artistic expression. The idea behind the ensemble company is to have a pool of
creative talent that can write, produce, direct, act, and design an entire
show. During the process we will do improv games, improv
theatre, and an audition piece of your choice: you get to choose how you would
like to best represent yourself to the company. It can be a song, dance, monologue, scene, painting,
portfolio, film (please give us a lot of advanced warning and bring your own
equipment), etc… Anything you want to do. And we’re going to do it all together in group style. It will be fun and interactive. Please dress
appropriately.
